Cheese Sandwich Recipe: A Perfect Snack with Tea

Whether it's for your evening tea or a quick bite to curb hunger, a cheese sandwich is always a great choice.
Ingredients

4 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)

2-3 slices of cheese or ½ cup grated cheese

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small bell pepper, finely chopped

2 tablespoons boiled sweet corn (optional)

A pinch of black pepper powder

Salt to taste

Butter (for spreading)

Mixed herbs or oregano (optional)


Instructions

1. Prepare the filling: In a bowl, combine grated cheese, chopped onion, bell pepper, corn, salt, pepper, and herbs if using. Mix well.


2. Assemble: Spread butter evenly on all bread slices. Spread the cheese mixture on one slice and cover it with another slice.


3. Cook: Heat a pan or griddle over medium heat. Toast the sandwich on both sides until golden brown and crispy.


4. Serve: Enjoy the warm cheese sandwich with tea, tomato ketchup, or green chutney.



Tip: A sandwich toaster can make this process quicker and give an even crispier finish.
